Bathrooms wear out, especially the walls around showers, and the toilet connections to the floor. But also, vanities start to look old and worn, from the frequent high humidity in bathrooms. Also, many bathrooms have plumbing which allows the water temperature to change while you are taking a shower, either because the bathroom is very old, or because the person who built the home just cut corners and decided not to spend the extra money for constant temperature shower plumbing.

These are functional problems which are normally easy to fix. And some people are happy just to fix the things which break or wear out in their bathroom from time to time. But there is a cosmetic side to bathroom remodeling which is often overlooked.

By just fixing things which break, you are usually stuck with the same old bathroom. Instead of just repair your bathroom, you can remodel it. You can essentially have a brand new bathroom, with modern plumbing, beautiful walls, floors, and fixtures.

We would like to show you what we can do with your bathroom. The modern materials and methods we use will give you a bathroom which you will enjoy owning. You deserve more comfort and less worry, along with the beautiful look of a bathroom from your-builder.com

Here are some examples of our work:

Here is the proper way to build a custom shower. In this photo, you can see that the walls of the shower, as well as the base, have been covered by cement board. What you should notice from this photo, and what sets your-builder.com apart from other builders, is the method of constructing the shower seat, shown in the corner. This shower seat is made entirely from masonry, rather than from a wood frame which is used by almost every other builder in their custom shower projects. A masonry shower seat, like the one shown here, will resist the dampness and wetness of the shower indefinitely.

Here the shower walls, floor, and seat base have been covered by the finished tile. At this point, you can't tell whether the shower seat is made from a wood frame, or from masonry. After a couple of years though, it is easy to tell the wood frame from the masonry one, because the masonry base used by your-builder.com WILL NOT expand in the dampness, crack the tile joints, and begin rotting, the way the wood framed seat bases invariably do.

In this photo you can also see that the glass block shower walls are partially constructed. To enter this shower, you walk in on the left, then turn right into the shower. There are two shower heads, with separate controls shown on the walls near the top of the photo.

Here, the glass block shower walls have just been completed, and are ready for their cleaning and polishing, which will be the final step in the shower construction process. When you enter this shower, and turn right, into the shower itself, you find yourself in a five foot by five foot shower, twice the size of a standard bathtub, and with a seat which is larger than you would guess from the photos. The glass blocks go all the way to the ceiling, to help keep in the warm steamy shower air, and eliminating the need for a door or curtain.

You can enjoy yourself in this shower, splashing and spraying water any way you like, and as much as you like. Because of the design of this shower, no water leaks out onto the floor. You can truly enjoy your shower here!

Here is a new corner spa installation. This is safe to frame in wood rather than in masonry, because the spa environment is so much drier than the shower environment. The tile can be installed over the wood frame and cement board, without worry. The spa shown here is a standard one available at some local home centers for about $1,000. Your-builder.com modified the spa shown here, by adding a high-capacity filler valve system, and top quality drain plumbing.
In this photo, you can see that the tile installation is almost finished, and the look of the spa is greatly improved. You can not tell by looking at this spa, whether the filler valve is standard or high-capacity. You can tell right away when you start to fill the spa. It takes just a few minutes to fill the spa with the high-capacity valve. It is wonderful to be able to turn on the water and get into the warm spa after just a few minutes, rather than having to wait ten to twenty minutes or more.
